Seagate Cheetah 15K3 Review
May 29th, 2003 - Every once in a while, a storage product comes along that defines the category that it is targeted at. Examples of this are the Western Digital Raptor SATA drive which offers SATA class-leading performance; Maxtor''s Atlas III 10K drive leads the SCSI 10K performance class. Today, we''re going to look at a new class defining product: Seagate''s 3rd generation 15,000 rpm Ultra320 SCSI drive: the Cheetah 15K3. Read more....

It's been a while, okay?!
May 21st, 2003 - Okay, so it has been a while since the last update. Articles are few and far between. Sorry for the slowdown this spring, I''ve been incredibly busy working on a few ''real'' projects (i.e. the ones that pay my rent ), as well as the forums.

Which of course, you are already a member of, right? *ahem* ... http://forums.fury-tech.com

So what''s new in Fury-Tech land? Well, in my off time I''m working on my new 8rda+ and 1700+, still optimizing and tweaking. Also planning out some case mods down the road, but I''m still obligated to volt modding my VC first as well as some other fun thigns I''ve mentioned. If you''d like to see some more action around here, get in on it! I''m always open to new authors, just stop by the forums, drop me an email, etc.

Well, just thought I''d let everyone know that YES, I am alive (Some may say unfortunately).

Thanks for visiting, and let me know what you think!

Internet Explorer's Newest Bug Release
May 8th, 2003 - A recently undiscovered feature of Microsoft''s flagship browser Internet Explorer has been exposed as of late.

Some might call it a bug, but in the tradition of IE''s feature list, this is right in line with things.

Not only that, but this wonderful feature can be exposed with just a simple line of code. Wasn''t it nice of Microsoft to make such a user friendly bug?

All it takes to activate this special feature is the following line:

Take special note that ''crash'' can in fact be replaced by anything. Say, ''I own joo Bill Gates'', or ''This copy of XP is pirated, bizatch''.

On a serious note, it appears that this bug uncovers a null pointer overwrite, so it''s not a huge security vulnerability. It will crash IE and throw the following error:

"Unhandled exception in iexplore.exe (SHLWAPI.DLL): 0xC0000005: Access
Violation"

More info can be found on Bugtraq.
