Silver Temjin TJ05 |
December 13th, 2004 - The most noticeable aspect of your computer isn''t that latest graphics card or high-end CPU, but the chassis it is housed in. A new case can give your computer a whole new feel of satisfaction. Silverstone has been around since 2003. They are known for their well built, beautifully designed cases, but they also manufacture other products, such as power supplies, fans, CPU coolers, and case accessories. One of the best things about Silverstone is their attitude toward innovation. Silverstone has taken the computer enclosure industry head-on and made a name for themselves in a very short period of time.

Mushkin 1GB PC2-4200 DDR2 Review |
December 13th, 2004 - Overall, the Mushkin PC2-4200 1GB DDR2 memory kits were very good. It easily overclocked to DDR666 while maintaining 4-4-4-12 timings. While gaming benchmarks were a little short of my expectations, I found no problem at all with these Mushkin DDR533 modules and it worked flawlessly with everything I threw at it. If our test motherboard did not max out at 250FSB, we might have seen it running at DDR700 and beyond. If you re looking for high performance, reasonably priced DDR2 memory kits, the Mushkin 1GB PC2-4200 DDR2 should definitely be on your list. Backed with Mushkin''s after sales support, you can''t go wrong with this one!

Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC4000 |
December 13th, 2004 - Taking their well performing Ballistix PC4000 memory, and adding some wow factor, Crucial seems to have hit something their Ballistix Tracer modules. Price may be a factor for some, as listed on the Crucial website these modules will cost you $23 per 512Mb more than the regular Ballistix PC4000. I was thinking to myself however as I was finishing this article, What is it going to take to make me take these things out of my case now that I am so used to activity lights on my memory? I don t know, but I can say I m looking forward to see more Tracer modules in the future. I can say that if you re a case modder, or looking for a bit more attention at local LAN s for your custom built computer, you re sure to get some heads turning with these in your case, and at no loss of performance.

OCZ Gold PC3700 Rev3 1GB DC Kit |
December 13th, 2004 - OCZ Gold PC3700 Rev3 that uses Hynix DT-D5 chips is indeed better than the previous OCZ Gold line of memory. How and why can I say such a thing when I didn''t even compare it to the previous? The goal of this review was to see whether the OCZ Gold PC3700 Rev3 is able to perform on the AMD Athlon64 platform. Sure enough, it did, performing very well. Based on this fact alone, the kit of memory is superior than its predecessors. The BT-D5 and CT-D5 (or D43s) were unable to run successfully and stably on A64 platforms, making the migrations from Intel to A64 rather difficult. The overclocking potential of the OCZ Gold PC3700 Rev3 (DT-D5) was rather impressive. It reached a high frequency while maintaining decent timings and a command rate of 1T. Although there might be better memory out there, the Gold PC3700 Rev3 does deserve a good recommendation for the ability to overclock high and perform well on an A64 system.
