Frankly speaking, when we announced our unified procedure for testing desktop x86 CPU performance a year ago, we didn't know what would come out of it. We had an idea. We had our reasons: It can be convenient and useful from some points of view. We wanted to try this idea in practice and see what would come out of it. Of course, we wanted to do a great job =97 why do it at all otherwise? A year passed. For this year (despite some negative feedback) we had been persistently testing processors strictly according to the new procedure. It's time to look at what we've got.
